I founded Willage with a clear purpose: to reignite our love for the traditional crafts. Growing up in India, I was exposed to a rich legacy of arts and crafts that played a significant role in shaping the fabric of our culture. Learning about the art of handmade, and truly understanding what it means, has had a profound impact on my life. I had the privilege of spending most of my childhood in places where 80% of what we wore and brought into our home was made by artisans. Back then, I didn’t fully grasp its importance, but now, I’m deeply grateful. My father’s service in the army meant we moved every two years, living in small cities and towns where artisans didn’t just carry forward ancestral stories and teachings—they were the backbone of the local economy.

At Willage, we believe these stories should never end; they should be recognized as a cultural legacy that we must preserve, protect, and support.The art of handmade carries with it the tradition, ancient wisdom, and culture of the artisan who created it. Handmade isn’t just about the past; it’s the future. Our goal, through these wonderful pieces of craft, is to bring these stories to you. To preserve and celebrate each tradition and style, to carry them forward so that they can continue to inspire generations to come.
