The A·chik Vessel — Forest Gourd with Hand-Woven Cane
The smaller sibling of the Grand A·chik Canteen — same Garo Hills origin, same process, same craft. A sun-dried forest gourd reinforced with wild-harvested cane woven into a structural lattice by hand. At 12 inches tall, this one sits comfortably on a shelf, a side table, or a mantel where the Grand version might overpower.
Each vessel is shaped entirely by how the gourd grew. The cane is split by hand and woven around the cured rind to hold its form — no adhesive, no hardware, just tension and technique. The Garo people of Meghalaya originally made these as water carriers. Now they carry a different kind of weight.
