The Dohyo — Stoneware Incense Holder

Regular price $48.00
Shipping calculated at checkout.

Named after the sumo ring. A hand-built stoneware incense holder shaped like a small, rounded figure — weighted, grounded, perfectly still. The speckled glaze and smooth curves come from Olga's ÜM Studio in Southern Spain, where Japanese and Scandinavian design meet somewhere in the middle: minimal, warm, and deliberately imperfect.

It holds a standard incense stick and catches ash in the curved body. Heavy enough to stay put, small enough to live on a desk, a nightstand, or a bathroom shelf without taking over. No two are exactly alike because none of them come out of a mold.

STORY

From ÜM Studio — a creative space founded by artisan Olga in Southern Spain, where Japanese and Scandinavian design philosophies meet. The Dohyo is named after the sumo wrestling ring and shaped to carry the same energy: grounded, balanced, completely still. Each piece is hand-built — no molds, no two alike — with a speckled glaze that reflects Olga's commitment to organic texture and quiet form.

Care Instructions

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove ash residue after each use. Stoneware is durable but handle with care on hard surfaces.
