Meet the Zen Master Llama — a hand-crocheted amigurumi made in India by Pragnya Parachure, founder of The Hobbyt. Each llama is crocheted stitch by stitch, stuffed by hand, and finished with tiny colorful details: a woven saddle blanket, pompom tassels, and a gently stitched expression that somehow looks both serene and slightly amused.

Amigurumi — Japanese for "crocheted stuffed toy" — is a beloved craft rooted in making something lovable from nothing more than yarn and care. Each piece is one of a kind, with small variations in color, expression, and finish that are part of the charm. Works as a nursery companion, a shelf character, a desk friend, or a quiet gift for anyone who appreciates the handmade.

STORY

From The Hobbyt — a crochet studio in India founded by Pragnya Parachure, who began her practice making clothes, doilies, and home décor before falling in love with amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheted stuffed creatures. Today, every piece from The Hobbyt is crocheted stitch by stitch in Pragnya's studio — each one shaped, stuffed, and finished entirely by hand.

Amigurumi, from the Japanese words "ami" (crocheted) and "nuigurumi" (stuffed doll), began as an accessible craft rooted in turning simple materials into lovable, handmade treasures. The Hobbyt carries that spirit forward: quirky creatures with real personality, made slowly, with care, and always one of a kind.

Care Instructions

Surface spot clean only with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or soak. Air dry flat. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve yarn color.
