A ceramic tile depicting a person fully absorbed in the morning papers, tucked into an ornate gilded bed. It's the small, private luxury of a slow morning — the kind where the bed is still warm, the coffee is nearby, and whatever's happening in the world can wait another ten minutes. Good for bedrooms, guest rooms, or anywhere you want to make a case for not getting up yet.

Storytiles are made by Marga van Oers, a Dutch artist who began her work with a box of centuries-old Delftware tiles her grandmother gave her while she was studying at the Amsterdam School of Arts. Each tile is a miniature world — part illustration, part ceramic, part record of a small moment. Every piece is hand-baked in the Netherlands using a traditional three-stage firing process that permanently fuses the artwork and glaze into the tile itself.
