Cypress Leaf Quilt — Hand Block-Printed, Jaipur India

A hand block-printed quilt from Jaipur, India — crafted entirely from pure cotton voile and filled with 100% cotton batting. The cypress leaf motif is carved by hand into teak woodblocks, dipped in azo-free natural dyes, and pressed onto the cloth one imprint at a time. The result is a quilt that feels soft and lived-in from the first night, with subtle variations in color, pattern, and hand-stitched line that can only come from human hands.

Each quilt passes through four sets of hands before it reaches the bed: the woodblock carver, the block printer, the dye specialist, and the quiltmaker who layers, stuffs, and stitches by hand. It's a slow process — a working tradition that has defined Jaipuri block print for generations, and one that supports women artisans who carry it forward.
