Hand-Stitched Linen Quilt — Oatmeal & Cinnamon

A two-tone linen quilt — natural oatmeal on one side, cinnamon brown on the other — stitched together by hand with rows of running dashes and small cross marks in contrasting thread. The binding is a deep terracotta that wraps the edges and gives the whole piece a finished weight. Flip it depending on your mood or the season; both sides work as the face.

The stitching is the design. No print, no pattern woven into the fabric — just hand-guided thread creating a loose grid of dashes and plus signs across the surface. The spacing is slightly uneven because each stitch is placed by a person, not a machine, which means no two quilts have exactly the same layout. The linen is European flax, washed before finishing, and has that specific softness where it feels like it's already been through a few dozen Sunday mornings. It gets better with use.
