Reclaimed Olive Wood Salt Pot

Regular price $28.00
Shipping calculated at checkout.

Carved from the ancient, swirling roots of olive trees unearthed during field preparations at Kahero Farm in Central Kenya. The wood is dense and marbled — deep amber and cocoa-colored veins, smoothed by hand but retaining the organic silhouette of the root it came from. No two pots share the same curve or grain.

Shaped by skilled field workers between harvests, each pot comes with a hand-tapered wooden spoon that rests within the bowl. A piece of reclaimed history made into a vessel for the simple, essential ritual of seasoning a meal.

STORY

Each salt pot begins as an olive tree root stump unearthed during field preparations at Kahero Farm in Central Kenya. The roots are carved by skilled field workers who use this craft to support their families between harvests. Because each root has a different shape and grain, no two pots are alike.
