The Weaver's Carafe — Cane-Wrapped Recycled Glass

A tall recycled glass carafe wrapped in a hand-woven cane sleeve — the kind of craft that's been done in India for generations, applied to a piece of tableware you'd actually use every day. The cane is woven to fit each carafe individually, so the pattern tightens and shifts slightly from piece to piece. It provides grip, insulates cold drinks, and looks like nothing you'd find in a chain store.

At nearly a foot tall, it works as a water carafe, a wine decanter, a juice pitcher, or a vase. The glass is recycled and the cane sleeve removes for dishwashing. The combination of clear glass and woven cane gives it a texture that reads as both modern and old at the same time.
